Title openings - The Cabin in the Woods - Luke

The Cabin in the Woods –
What we see is what the title is. I like how its black and white so it looks vintage but also threatening at the same time.

The first thing we see is Lion’s Gate. Lions Gate is an “Entertainment Corporation” and a “Canadian-American entertainment company”

Additional story info is not included in the title opening.
Actors
Kristen Connolly
Chris Hemsworth
Anna Hutchison
Fran Kranz
Jesse Williams
Richard Jenkins
Bradley Whitford

Directed Joss Whedon

Throughout the title openings there is a dog howling, dead bodies, a book and a gravestone. these could already be clues for the audience so that they can start thinking and put the clues together from the very start of the film. This also tells the audience already that there will be blood or violence in this film. However the audience will also have enigma building in them because of the questions they are thinking of. E.g. why is there a cabin in the woods? the title is key because it leaves no answers but questions for the audience.
Throughout there is a string instrument like the violin that is playing.

1)     Music starts
2)     Lions gate
3)     Then in the small writing it says on a blank black screen “Lions gates presents
4)     A mutant enemy productions
5)     A Drew Goddard film
6)     Then the title “Cabin in the Woods”
7)     The 7 actors
8)     Directed Joss Whedon
